The ninth Annual Meeting gathering members and partners of the CMI chaired by Hafez Ghanem, World Bank Vice President for the MENA region, was held with high-level participation from its country members as well as its partner organizations. The meeting was pivotal as it consisted of discussions about the Center’s next phase (2018-2023).

It started by showcasing the numerous successful collaborations the CMI has undertaken and the impact it has left throughout the year. Members and partners reconfirmed their constant support for the CMI’s work.

A New Phase, a New Strategic Approach 

The meeting was also dedicated to discussing the Center’s new strategic approach for the next mandate (starting July 2018). Agreement was reached to deepen the conversation during a Strategic Oversight Committee Meeting to be held in February 2018 and designed to ensure the discussion and endorsement of the new strategy, and to agree on current and potential new members’ contributions to the Center for the coming years, via a Donors’ Roundtable.
