The complex and protracted nature of today’s conflicts has led forced displacement to reach an unprecedented level since World War II; substantially over 60 million people are now uprooted around the world, of which 4 million Syrian refugees. 86% of Syrian refugees live in Syria neighboring countries, and particularly in cities, which raises a number of significant challenges to municipalities.

This report, prepared by Radio SouriaLi, showcases the different topics discussed during a first-of-its-kind host community workshop organized by the Center for Mediterranean Integration and a number of partners, in Amman, Jordan during the month of May 2016. أدّت الطبيعة المعقدة والمطولة للنزاعات حول العالم إلى وصول النزوح القسري اليوم مستوى غير مسبوق منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية، وقد اقتُلع حتى تاريخه أكثر من 60 مليون شخص من أوطانهم، من بينهم 4 ملايين لاجئ سوري، يعيش 86% منهم في الدول المجاورة لسوريا، وبالأخص في المدن، ما يضع حملاً هائلاً على البلديات.
