Cities Alliance and the CMI (i) presented the regional Joint Work Program created under the aegis of the two institutions, and their commitment to collaborate in providing multi-year support to Tunisian local and national government; and (ii) gave the floor to international experts who presented a wider analysis on the potential and challenge of decentralization. On May 30, the JWP members gathered to discuss the Tunisia Country Program, which focuses on promoting the role of cities in urban development and more accountable service delivery. The 3 studies carried out within the JWP and co-led by the World Bank and AFD constitute the first set of JWP activities and could be used to inform the development of the Tunisia Project Framework on decentralization.
