Not only is the ongoing Syrian conflict having immense human costs. It has also resulted in an unprecedented regional refugee crisis, and inflicted colossal financial damage on Syria’s infrastructure and resources. Along with its partners, the World Bank has conducted a preliminary Damage Needs Assessment (DNA) for Syria. The DNA surveyed seven sectors in six Syrian cities--Aleppo, Dar'a, Hama, Homs, Idlib, and Latakia.
