Highlights

This workshop was hosted by the Algerian Government, Ministry of Finance, organised by the World Bank (Vice President of North Africa and Middle East). The Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) also sponsored the workshop.

The first objective of the workshop, based on specific theme issues, was to present the diagnosis and proposals of the draft report prepared by the World Bank, and to obtain feedback for correction and completion. It was also the opportunity for experts to discuss possible measures and to draft an action plan to collect technical consensus that will be incorporated in the proposals of the final report.

Experts from the World Bank and other organisations (IMF, MDGs, CETMO, AfDB, EU ...) participated in this workshop to bring specific insight into the technical issues and international experience.
