CMI refugee program team met with Leah Cambell, Research Officer at ALNAP (Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action) to discuss knowledge sharing tools and practices on refugees and host communities, specifically on the Syrian Refugee Crisis.
ALNAP is an international interagency forum working to improve the quality and accountability of humanitarian action, and runs the Syria Evaluation Portal for Coordinated Accountability and Lessons Learning (CALL) database.
CMI is engaging with leading online knowledge sharing organizations that focus on refugees and host communities in the Mediterranean.
To exchange experiences and discuss how to improve the knowledge-sharing on refugee and host community issues in the Mediterranean, and identify further opportunities for collaboration.
-ALNAP presented CMI to its Community of Practice and both organizations agreed to further cross-promote their work.
-ALNAP connected CMI with the Global Alliance for Urban Crises, which was formally launched at the Istanbul World Humanitarian Summit 2016 formally in order to bring high-level attention to the increasingly urban dimension of humanitarian crises.
