The Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) in partnership with the Arabic-language radio station Monte Carlo Doualiya organized a talk show in the form of a roundtable on the following topic: “How to better adapt to climate change effects in the Mediterranean region? How to collaborate, share, and mutualize efforts for a better adaptation.”
The talk show was held in the framework of the program ‘Rifqan bi ardina’ produced by Monte Carlo Doualiya and in the context of the Mediterranean Climate Forum Event MEDCOP21 that took place in Marseille, France, on June 4-5, 2015.
Participants reflected on the various ways climate change impacts countries of the Mediterranean region and presented a number of national initiatives to adapt to climate change and reduce carbon emissions. They have also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and the need to mobilize Mediterranean stakeholders towards a joint agenda for adapting to and combating climate change in the region.
