Highlights

The event was jointly organized with the Egyptian Ministry of Scientific Research and partners such as the EIB and ISESCO. As a follow-up to a request from the Egyptian Ministry of Scientific Research, the objective was to organize a consultation and workshop on ways to move ahead on a knowledge and innovation–based strategy for Egypt with various stakeholders on the issues at hand, followed by a workshop that could present the overall knowledge economy work that has been undertaken at the CMI, summarize the ideas that emerged at the Egypt-led consultation, and work with the invited stakeholders from the government, private sector, and civil society to start the process of developing an action plan for Egypt, given that this is in line with the government’s overall priority as highlighted in Egypt’s Vision 2022.
