Upcoming Regional Workshop: Creating the Right Ecosystem for Knowledge Valorisation: A Case Study of ODTÜ Teknokent

Ankara, Turkey

The CMI and the EIB, in collaboration with the ISESCO and the UN-ESCWA Technology Centre, are organising a regional workshop about the contribution of the Quadruple Helix actors to knowledge transfer within Science and Technology Parks (STPs) on June 16th-18th, 2014 in Ankara, Turkey.

ODTÜ Teknokent, a Science Park that effectively succeeded in creating an ecosystem where the actors of the Quadruple Helix effectively work together, will be hosting this event, sharing with the national delegates its best practices and lessons learnt during this process.

This activity builds on foundations laid by last November's Casablanca workshop on the effective governance and management of STPs, and aims to build capacities of MENA STP managers in Knowledge Transfer (KT), its processes, systems, strengthening mechanisms, and best practices.

In addition to the active participation of innovation actors from Turkey and experts from Europe such as the IASP and the EIF, the workshop is welcoming practitioners from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia.

Interested delegates from the MENA region who would like to participate should contact: j.vandermeer@eib.org and j.hakimi@eib.org
