Highlights

The objective of the workshop, a project of the Green Accounting and WAVES partnership, was to discuss the potential for green accounting and explore candidate countries in the MENA region. The “Natural Capital Accounting” workshop presented the rationale and tools to better monitor and manage natural assets and enhance their productive use to regional decision makers. Attendance was high, and ministers from Egypt, Lebanon, and Morocco all officially expressed interest in joining the WAVES partnership at the workshop.
