The CMI organized a workshop in Tunis to present and discuss the outcomes of the study with the national and local authorities. The inception report of the study on “Adaptation to Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management in Algiers” was reviewed and approved by the steering committee of the project, under the leadership of the Caisse des Dépots. The Study was then in its data collection phase. Phase 1 of the report, containing the vulnerability assessment, was expected for December 7, 2012. The UD2 team had visited Amman to meet with different Jordanian institutions (Greater Amman Municipality, Ministries and Technical Bodies) in order to better assess the needs and priorities of the Jordanian government in terms of Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation at city level. It will lead to the drafting of different scenarios for a possible extension of the Cities & Climate Change program to Jordanian cities.
