Energy demands in the MENA region are rising substantially, while efforts to meet these demands remain too limited. The Region, which lacks major investments in complex infrastructure, calls for a strengthening in environmental guidelines and standards in order to handle them. The region also suffers from insufficient consideration of regional based publications in climate change impact evaluation. The Green Growth program responds to all of these important factors.
To disseminate relevant knowledge and engage in consultations with relevant actors fostering integration of environmental issues, into sectoral and development policies.
